Atherstone Grove tennis club was founded in 1995. It is part of the Grove Sports and Social Club which is managed by trustees. Their objective is to provide sports and leisure activities to Atherstone and the surrounding villages. A member of the tennis club is on the trustee committee.

The club has two tarmac courts. They are used for members only. Non-marking trainers are worn when players are on the court.

Floodlights are available free of charge. A padlock for the floodlights is at the side of the first court. It has the same code as the gates. When in use, they are switched off by 21.45pm as a courtesy to local residents.
